Supervisor Hilda Solis Honors SIPA at AAPI Heritage Month Reception

In attendance from SIPA to receive the award were Executive Director, Kimmy Maniquis, and Board Member Johneric Concordia (Chef at The Park’s Finest BBQ) who was also honored.

Every year, since Supervisor Hilda Solis has been in office, she has selected honorees to uplift for their leadership and commitment to supporting AAPI residents and communities in the First District and LA County.

This year, Supervisor Solis selected SIPA to be one of her honorees for the May 10th, 2024 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month Reception, co-hosted by the LA County Asian American Employees Association (LACAAEA).

“It was an honor to be recognized alongside so many prominent AAPI leaders by Supervisor Solis, who has been so committed to uplifting the cultural neighborhoods in our district and advancing communities of color throughout LA County.” shares Kimmy Maniquis, SIPA’s Executive Director
