Family Day and PRIDE Celebration

Read the story on The Los Angeles Daily News published HERE.

Family Day and Pride Celebration is an event where SIPA brings the community together at Lucena on Court for games, workshops, resource sharing and more. This was the first year hosting the event at the new Lucena on Court Wellness Center. The use of both indoor and outdoor space was great to see put in use for workshops, resource partners info tables, food, and activities. A highlight of the event was hearing Pastor Danny Cortez share his story as a pastor and father and why he celebrates PRIDE, in the opening remarks. SIPA’s goal was to create a safe space for youth to come and participate in the fun while parents and guardians access information and resources that benefit the whole family.

The Los Angeles Daily news covered wrote an article  “Asian American families, youth to celebrate pride in LA’s Historic Filipinotown” to share the news with the community.

Thank you to everyone that came to support the community and shared resources!
