May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, and SIPA partnered, participated, and hosted many events throughout the month to celebrate the AAPI community’s resilience! Check out our recap of the month’s events below:
This inspiring series paneled by Pinays in several industries was able to come back bigger than ever in March 2022. Partnering with Kumu USA and 10 Storyhouse, our annual Pinay Empowerment event brought out not only local entrepreneurs, but international ones as well through a livestream to a Philippine audience. Check out our other photos from Pinay Empowerment events over the years!
SIPA has joined the #HashtagLunchbag movement! #HashtagLunchbag is a humanity service movement dedicated to empowering and inspiring humanity to reap the benefits of giving through the use of social media. We create and use bagged lunches and write letters of encouragement for youth, women, and families experiences homelessness.
SIPA holds an annual Halloween Carnival for the community on Halloween night. There are different booths and activities that both children and adults can partake in (and score some candy too!) The evening is filled with haunted houses, raffle prizes and of course, family-friendly spooky flicks!
SIPA celebrates the holiday by giving back to the community. Our annual holiday festival and toy drive served local families and children in need with a pancake breakfast, magical performances from social media influencers, free haircuts for kids, and much more.
